The new design also allows it to accommodate a larger number of passengers in less time, smoothly and efficiently.” In terms of construction, the passenger terminal has reached its final structural form, including the steel structure on the sides and roof, and work related to closing the building and implementing the flooring and finishes will continue. Electromechanical works have also been awarded, pushing the project into a new phase of implementation.” She indicated, "In parallel, preparations for the runway preparation work are beginning, in an additional step towards enhancing the airport's operational readiness, with continued coordination with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, and the relevant security authorities."
