Trump confirmed the existence of a direct communication channel with officials in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, noting that they are “skilled at negotiations.”
Regarding the Israeli elections, Trump did not announce his support for any candidate, preferring to stay away from the elections.
He said: “I think it is more appropriate for me to stay away from the Israeli elections, but I may announce my support for one of the candidates.”
Trump noted positive progress in efforts to disarm Hamas, but said that Israel should not launch raids on Gaza at the present time.
He said: “We have a special relationship with Hamas, and they are giving up their weapons.”
