Pierre Bou Assi, a member of the “Strong Republic” bloc, believed that Israel and Hezbollah did not cooperate with the state in the decisions it took.
Bou Assi stressed the need for the American shepherd to play his role.
He considered that the delay in assigning a third country the role of censor negatively affects the field situation in the south.
Bou Assi stressed that the basic demand is for Israeli withdrawal and an end to the conflict, calling for starting with the withdrawal of weapons in northern Litani, and then moving to the entire Lebanese territory.
He considered that “the continued Israeli escalation is hitting the path of negotiation,” pointing out that the “party” had previously attempted to overthrow the state, but it cannot do so today, and is therefore content with threats and betrayal.
Bou Assi described the Lebanese Forces’ relationship with President Joseph Aoun as excellent, noting that it was consolidated during the bloc’s visit, headed by Samir Geagea, to Baabda.
