Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the continuation of Israeli attacks on Lebanon is a major source of concern for Turkey, emphasizing the importance of the American role in stopping the war on Lebanon. In an interview with Al Jazeera channel, Erdogan noted that he discussed with US President Donald Trump, during his recent visit to Turkey, the necessity of stopping the war on Lebanon. Regarding the Syrian file, the Turkish President confirmed that he will visit Syria in the coming period, stressing that Syria will not be alone and that Ankara will do its utmost to support its stability. He also stated that the Kurds of Syria will have their share of peace and stability, and that Turkey will continue to strengthen its relations with the Kurds and protect their rights in the countries of the region. The Turkish President also touched upon the Makkah Agreement, clarifying that it stipulates that the signatory states will take unified steps in the event that one of them is subjected to an external aggression, and considering that the agreement sent an important message to the world.
