Gold is declining... and Brent is above $100

Gold prices fell during early Friday trading, after falling by 2% in the previous session, with the price of Brent crude returning to above $100 a barrel, which raised concerns about inflation and strengthened expectations of a rise in US interest rates ahead of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy meeting next week.
The price of gold in spot transactions fell, by 03:33 GMT, by 0.4% to $4,030.09 per ounce, declining by more than $130 from its highest level in two weeks, which it recorded the day before yesterday, Wednesday. US gold futures contracts for August delivery also fell by 0.4% to $4,033.20.
This comes in conjunction with the price of Brent crude rising by 7% upon settlement yesterday, Thursday, exceeding the $100 per barrel barrier for the first time since May, in one of the largest rises since the start of the war.
