Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned his American counterpart, Marco Rubio, during a meeting held between them in Manila on Thursday, against the continuation of arms deliveries to Ukraine, describing it as “unacceptable.”
The statement indicated that Lavrov criticized "the destabilizing policy pursued by European countries that insist on seeking to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia," stressing Russia's readiness to reach a political and diplomatic settlement to the conflict, and indicating its commitment to the proposals put forward by the American side during the meeting of Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Anchorage.
