Information Minister Paul Morcos announced that the Council of Ministers approved most of its agenda, including: assigning the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Judge Mahmoud Makkiya, to assume the duties of director of the body regulating the cultivation of the Indian cannabis plant and to conduct business until the appointment of an authentic director general. The government also decided to exempt the Ministry of Education from holding the official exams for the Intermediate Rehearsal Certificate in the year 2026, and to increase educational grants, meaning they become 20 million in public schools, with a ceiling of 60 million, and in private schools, they become 50 million, with a ceiling of 150 million Lebanese pounds.
