The Amal Movement issued a statement responding to the sanctions announced by the US Treasury Department against Ahmed Baalbaki and Ali Al-Safawi, considering these measures “unacceptable and unjustified.”
The movement stressed that the sanctions “primarily target the Amal Movement and its political role, which is concerned with national issues and the protection of the state and institutions,” stressing its rejection of what it described as attempts at political pressure through sanctions.
