An American official announced that the Lebanese-Israeli talks held Thursday were “positive” and will take place as planned for the second day. A high-ranking US State Department official said: “We held fruitful and positive talks throughout the day, which lasted from nine in the morning until five in the afternoon (13:00-21:00 GMT). We look forward to continuing these conversations tomorrow, and hope to have more to share.”
