The Israeli army reported that, during the past few days, its forces crossed the Litani River to the north and were stationed on the outskirts of the village of Zawtar, using heavy armored vehicles and troop carriers, and extending their control over the area.
Israeli media quoted military sources as saying that 8 members of the Golani Brigade were injured during three clashes that took place on the outskirts of the town.
She added that the operation lasted about 10 days, and aimed to reach an area from which Hezbollah missiles and drones were believed to have been launched.
She also indicated that the army carried out engineering works on the course of the Litani River, which would facilitate the crossing of armored and infantry forces in the future.
