The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the continuous follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to protect citizens from the security risks associated with the use of electronic applications, it was found that there are a number of applications listed on smartphone stores operating on the iOS and Android systems, belonging to an Israeli company, and being used by a number of citizens. Among these applications is “Room And A Half”, developed by PARTY POOPERS, where data showed that the application collects data from the devices on which it is installed, including geographical location, device data, technical identifiers, in addition to personal information. In some cases, it also provides access to message content, photos and contact data. It also turned out that the aforementioned company, based in Tel Aviv, recently released a number of applications intended for children and teenagers, most notably: ROOM AND A HALF SURVIVOR ARCADE HEAVEN KITCHEN SWIPE ROAD BUSTERS – MINI GAMES PARTY REDGUNNING HOO ROOM AND A HALF Therefore, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces warns citizens against downloading or using these applications, and calls for their immediate deletion from phones if they exist, as they may pose risks to privacy and information security. It also calls on citizens to be careful when downloading any application, to verify its source and permissions before installing it, and not to grant any permissions that may allow access to their data and privacy.
