US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the US-Israeli war on Iran may end and the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened if Tehran adheres to what was agreed upon. He added in a post on his “Truth Social” platform: “Assuming that Iran agrees to abide by what was agreed upon, which is a big assumption, the legendary Operation Wrath Epic will indeed end, and the effective blockade will allow the Strait of Hormuz to be opened to everyone, including Iran.” He added: "If you do not agree, the bombing will begin, and unfortunately it will be at a much higher level and intensity than it was before." Trump's statements come at a time when diplomatic efforts are continuing to end the escalation, as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that his country "will only accept a fair and comprehensive agreement" in negotiations with the United States.
