The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, said in memory of the martyrs of the press, all of Lebanon, from the far north to the depths of the south, stands in reverence and loyalty before the souls who gave precious and precious things so that we may have a homeland. The memory of the martyrs is not just a stop on the calendar, but rather a renewal of the pledge that the sacrifices made will not be in vain. He stressed: We commemorate this occasion today, while our country is facing serious storms and challenges. The ongoing war left deep wounds in our conscience, and brought down precious martyrs whose names will remain a beacon in our contemporary history. On Martyr's Day, Aoun saluted the martyrs of the press and media. We look with pride at the courage shown by our Lebanese media in keeping pace with current events. Media professionals have risen to fame as martyrs who refused to convey in audio and video the truth of what is happening, so they paid with their lives for a sacred message. He continued: The blood of media professionals that was shed in the field is a living witness that the word in Lebanon cannot be defeated, indicating that freedom of expression is the pillar of our existence that we will protect with all our might. He stressed that the blood of the martyrs - military, civilian and media - places us before a historical responsibility. Stressing that the priority is to preserve the unity of this country, protect its sovereignty, and work to end the suffering that our people are suffering under. He said that loyalty to the martyrs is to build a strong, just, and capable state to protect its people.
