Representative Strida Geagea announced her support for the positions of the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, stressing that she stands by him “with the overwhelming majority of the Lebanese” in the path of restoring the state’s sovereignty. This came after a delegation from the “Strong Republic” bloc met with President Aoun, where she stressed that reaching negotiations came as a result of Hezbollah’s involvement in the war “in defense of another country,” stressing that the goal of the negotiations is to achieve Israeli withdrawal, stop the cycle of violence, and complete the state’s sovereignty. She added: "We are tired of other people's wars on our land and of senseless death and destruction, and we want to build an independent, stable and prosperous country." She pointed out that the daily losses of the war range between 150 and 160 million dollars, which highlights the importance of the efforts made to stop it and achieve stability and safety.
