The Ministry of Interior cancels the movements of the Palace of Justice... What is the reason?
Fady Mahouly
The Ministry of Interior and Municipality announced that “two calls are being circulated on social media to organize two actions in front of the Palace of Justice in Beirut.
After scrutiny, it became clear that the parties calling for these two movements did not submit knowledge to the Governor of Beirut, in accordance with the rules, to decide on the necessary regulatory measures based on the proposals of the Internal Security Forces, in implementation of the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities Resolution No. 1024 dated March 29, 2006.
Therefore, based on the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities’ keenness to protect internal stability, and in light of the delicate stage that requires high awareness and national responsibility, the Ministry announces that neither of these two movements will be allowed to take place, due to their violation of the aforementioned decision, and assigns the Governor of Beirut and the Internal Security Forces to implement the content of this statement, provided that the necessary coordination takes place with the Lebanese Army when necessary.
