Hezbollah: To stop media abuses in order to preserve civil peace
Fady Mahouly
Hezbollah's media relations announced that after all the efforts made to calm the internal tension caused by the offensive and provocative video targeting Hezbollah's Secretary General, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, and the Mujahideen, and after the clear and responsible stances that affirmed the rejection of the rhetoric of sedition and the attack on all religious shrines and symbols, Al-Nahar newspaper insists on continuing its incitement approach, by publishing false accusations and slander against Hezbollah, which only serve projects of sedition and re-tensioning the internal arena.
He said that Hezbollah, which was clear in its position rejecting any insult to any figure or symbol in this country, whether religious or non-religious, rejects these accusations that ignore its declared positions, and places them within the framework of incitement and attempts to re-inflame tensions and ignite strife.
Hezbollah’s media relations called on the government, the Ministry of Information, and the judicial and security agencies to assume their responsibilities in putting an end to these violations, as the provocations and abuses issued by some media outlets and some media figures and politicians targeting a wide segment of the Lebanese are no longer acceptable, with the aim of luring them into reactions and tension in the internal arena, especially in light of the systematic media and political campaigns that the resistance environment has been exposed to and has endured since the ceasefire agreement on 11/27/2024. It targets it directly, and affects its constants, values, symbols, leaders and martyrs.
Accordingly, these parties are called upon to play their role without any double standards, in order to preserve stability and civil peace.
