Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Ali Nikzad, confirmed on Saturday evening that Tehran has prepared a draft law to manage the Strait of Hormuz that prevents Israeli ships from crossing at any time. He explained that "the draft law prevents ships of hostile countries from crossing the strait unless they pay compensation for the war," noting that the draft law allows the rest of the ships to cross after obtaining permission and approval from Iran. He added that the draft law on the strait will be adopted taking into account international laws and the rights of neighboring countries, explaining that the movement of ships in the strait will not return to what it was before the war. He had previously confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz represents the "Iranian atomic bomb," stressing that the leadership in Iran had issued orders that the Strait not return to its previous status. With the beginning of the truce on April 8, Tehran announced the reopening of the Strait, but later decided to close it, after Washington began imposing a naval blockade on Iranian ports on April 13.
