US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that “the US Navy is behaving like pirates” while carrying out naval blockade operations targeting Iranian ports, during the war waged by the United States and Israel. Trump said, in a statement he made on Friday evening, that American forces recently seized a ship and what it was carrying. He added: “We seized the ship and the oil. It is a very profitable business. We are like pirates, in a way, but we are not kidding.” The United States detained a number of ships linked to Tehran after they left Iranian ports or while they were in Asian waters.
