Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that “any attempt to impose restrictions and a naval blockade on Iran contravenes international laws and is doomed to failure.” Pezeshkian believed that "the foreign presence increases tension, destabilizes territorial waters, and does not help enhance regional security." He also stressed that "the Gulf is not an arena for imposing unilateral foreign wills," considering that "the security of the region cannot be guaranteed except through the cooperation of its countries."
