Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf pointed out that “the enemy sought to transform Iran into a model similar to Venezuela, and failed to achieve its goal.” He said in a statement: “The enemy tried to activate the separatists in western Iran, but he failed thanks to the efforts of the military and security forces. The enemy also sought at the beginning of the war to overthrow the regime within 3 days by assassinating the leader of the revolution and the military leaders, but he failed.” He pointed out that "the enemy seeks to exert economic pressure and provoke internal division in order to weaken us from within or even bring us down, explaining that US President Donald Trump speaks clearly about the naval blockade to force Iran to surrender through economic pressure and internal division." He stressed that "the solution to confront the enemy's new conspiracy is only to maintain internal unity. He stressed that the importance of our unity increases with the enemy's new plan, and every step that provokes division is completely in the enemies' interest."
