Hezbollah representative, Representative Hassan Fadlallah from the House of Representatives, reaffirmed that the enemy’s attempt to establish a security belt on our land and clone Antoine into a new border in the region will be defeated by the sacrifices of the resistance and the steadfastness of our people. He said: In the face of the daily killing of unarmed civilians in the south and the systematic destruction of our border villages, the authorities and its tools must immediately abandon the compromise options and stop the rhetoric of incitement and treason and antagonizing a large portion of the Lebanese, because of the service it performs to the enemy on the one hand, and its threat to stability and Lebanon’s participatory formula enshrined by the Taif Agreement on the other hand. He added: "All of this makes this authority lose its role and legitimacy stipulated in the introduction to the constitution, and makes it a party biased in making choices against the majority of its people. No matter how hard it tries, it will not obtain national cover for its direct negotiations with the enemy." He concluded: The required solution is clear, which is the return of power to its people in a way that preserves Lebanon’s unity and sovereignty.
