Sayyed Ali Khamenei sent a letter to the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, in which he expressed his appreciation for his sympathy and condolences on the occasion of the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. In his message, Khamenei referred to the feelings of love and loyalty expressed by the party’s Lebanese mujahideen. He pointed out that "steadfastness and integrity in the face of the United States and the Zionist entity are among the most prominent qualities of the imam, the martyr leader." I consider that the resistance march during the years of his leadership, and the accompanying presentation of prominent martyrs, is evidence of the credibility of this approach. He noted the continuation of the resistance march, pointing to the sacrifices of figures including Qassem Soleimani and commanders in the Revolutionary Guard and the Iranian army, as evidence of commitment to this path. He stressed that the history of the Islamic resistance is full of struggle and sacrifices, recalling leaders in Hezbollah, including Ragheb Harb, Abbas al-Musawi, Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safi al-Din, considering that they embodied this approach. Khamenei addressed Sheikh Naeem Qassem, stressing that he is leading the movement at a critical stage, expressing his confidence in his ability to thwart what he described as the enemy’s plans and restore pride to the Lebanese people. He concluded his message by emphasizing that the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the footsteps of the late Imam and martyr leader, will continue to support the resistance in the face of Israel and the United States, wishing success to the Mujahideen.
