Pope Leo announces the allocation of scholarships to support Christian students

During his meeting with members of the Greek Melkite Synod of the Antioch Church, Pope Leo
He stressed that he is working to provide scholarships for believers in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq to receive a Catholic education, noting that the goal is to support young people so that Christian families receive the necessary assistance to survive in the Middle East.
The Department of the Eastern Churches announced that Pope Leo XIV decided to allocate scholarships to support Christian students from the most needy families in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.
The department explained, in a statement, that the Supreme Pontiff referred to a pastoral project dedicated to Christian families who suffer from extremely difficult situations in these countries, during the Synod of Bishops of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church of Antioch.
