The Minister of Industry, Joe Issa Al-Khoury, issued Resolution No. 80/1, in which he called on duly licensed olive presses to: 1- Collect the sandpaper in tanks with a capacity proportional to the quantity produced within a working week as a minimum, and do not throw it into nature, rivers, waterways, or artesian wells, and dispose of or reuse the sandalwood in an environmentally sound manner. 2- Collect the peat in a separate room inside the institution and provide adequate ventilation to prevent the spread of odors and deliver it to the competent authorities who are legally licensed to reuse, recycle or manufacture it. This is under penalty of closure in the event of non-compliance. Article Two: This decision shall be communicated to whoever is necessary.”
