Salam follows up on preparations for the launch of commercial flights from Qlayaat Airport

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam confirmed during a meeting at the Governmental Serail to follow up on the progress of work and ongoing preparations for the launch of commercial flights from President Rene Moawad Airport - Klayaat that “re-operating Klayaat Airport is no longer a project under preparation, but rather a path that has entered the final stage of implementation.
Salam pointed out that what is required today is to complete the remaining steps as quickly as necessary, and without any compromise on technical and security standards, leading to the start of commercial flights from it next month.
He stressed that this project constitutes a practical step towards balanced development, revitalizing economic activity in Akkar and the north, and strengthening the transportation infrastructure in Lebanon.
