The executive body of the “Lebanese Forces” and the “Strong Republic” bloc, headed by Samir Geagea, confirmed that continuing to obstruct rescue decisions and turning them into mere promises “is no longer acceptable,” calling for actual steps to consolidate state authority.
She stressed that the first step required of the state is to launch a campaign to purge all its institutions, administrations, and agencies of those whose decisions are linked to parties outside the state, considering that administrative steps do not require the movement of military fleets, but rather a sincere intention that begins with a decision that is signed and then implemented with persistence and determination.
She pointed out in a statement that some people specialize in opening absurd battles within institutions as well as in the field, noting that they intentionally, deliberately and intentionally, opened the battle for a new electoral law, in an attempt to dilute the priority of the sovereign battle, which is that official and popular efforts must be focused on saving Lebanon from the illegal military and security systems, at the forefront of which is “Hezbollah.”
Regarding the financial file, the “Forces” ministers objected to the draft 2027 budget, considering that it imposes additional burdens on the Lebanese.
As for the electricity file, the authority indicated that Energy Minister Joe Al-Saddi proposed solutions that include adopting a moving tariff, obliging state institutions to pay their dues to the Electricité du Liban, and canceling the 300,000 lira fee on fuel, considering that the lack of response from the government and the Ministry of Finance “raises glaring question marks that cannot be tolerated.”
