Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nabih Berri, received at the headquarters of the Second Presidency in Ain al-Tineh, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, where the meeting discussed the general situation and political and field developments. A number of topics related to addressing the pressing social and economic conditions were also discussed. The results of President Salam’s visits to the United States of America, the tour he took to the city of Nabatieh, and the projects he launched were also discussed. The meeting also focused on the necessity of finding a radical solution to the electricity issue through the BOT system or through an international Lebanese agreement that leads to a final solution to this vital issue in the lives of Lebanon and the Lebanese. President Berri also followed up on the general situation, especially the financial situation, during his meeting with the Governor of the Bank of Lebanon, Karim Said. Speaker Berri also received the President of the Industrialists Association, Salim Al-Zaani, in the presence of Rabah Jaber. Al-Zaani presented to the Chairman of the Council the conditions of the industrial sector and the association’s work programs at the current stage and in the future.
