On the second anniversary of the assassination of the party’s Secretary-General, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message in which he said: “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and our Messenger Moses promised us that he would bring your people out of darkness into light and that he would remember them in the days of God.” The letter read: “The first days of Mehr remind us of the days of God, and of the great and enduring phenomenon of the valiant defense of the Iranian nation over eight years in the first imposed war. In those days, the warm rays of the sun of revolution spread over the land of Iran, spreading a good feeling of national solidarity and loyalty to the school and ideology of revolutionary Islam, thanks to which the ice of domination and colonialism, old and new, began to melt. In those days, some Iranians recalled memories of the colonialists' hatred some twenty years earlier, and the events related to the nationalization of the oil industry and the American coup. While others heard the news about it, many of them clearly felt the reality of what foreign domination had brought to our country. But the days that preceded that were dark and depressing, when the ambassadors of the arrogant governments conveyed orders and prohibitions to the country’s king, who, willingly or unwillingly, implemented them until the great revolution of the Iranian nation led by Imam Khomeini (may God have mercy on him) turned that situation upside down. As a result of this revolution, those dark days gave way to brighter days with the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This was a heavy price for the oppressors who coveted the riches of this land, and committed all kinds of atrocities against its people for many years in pursuit of them. Therefore, since then, they have made every effort to return the path of the revolutionary nation to its previous path, and the first war imposed on them was their most important action in the first decade of the life of the Islamic Republic. From the heart of that war, which was ignited by the anti-people Baath Party, with the illusion of a war that would last a few days and achieve an easy victory, the Islamic regime rose like a phoenix, more prosperous and powerful than before, louder and flying higher than before; This continued to be a distinctive feature of this regime in subsequent hostile events. Those days when the enemy of this nation made his followers rule it and was implementing a new form of colonialism, thanks to the revolution and raising the banner of Islam and jihad in the context of the imposed war, turned into glorious days that still, 38 years after its end, when we contemplate the details of its events and the honest accounts of its survivors, the examples that teach us lessons in worship, courage, resistance, morals and humanity still shine like shining stars in the dark history of our country. Those days when, at the beginning of the invasions of the followers of the dominant regime, our country inherited the empty hands of the tyrannical regime to defend itself against many threats, thanks to the establishment of truth and divine help, have reached days when the aggressors themselves, and not their followers, resort to the attacks of the warriors of Islam and beg to abandon the war. The days to which they wished to return our country were days full of backwardness, humiliation, dependency, and the shame that befell Iran in the Islamic world. As for our days, they are days of progress, dignity, independence, and high status in the Islamic world, and even in the entire world. Today, some consider us the world's fourth superpower. Of course, they base this on worldly calculations; But divine calculations indicate that a country that considers itself a member of the family of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and that the majority of its people adhere to this lofty status and are not afraid to prove the truth, is the first power in the world. In those days, the two seas in southern Iran were a breeding ground for enemy forces, but today, because of the painful blows they received from the brave warriors and protectors of the Strait of Hormuz, they do not advance beyond the Arabian Sea. The more they risk, the more they harm themselves; The time will soon come when the Arabian Sea will be cleansed of them. There were days when the oppressors, through psychological operations and an atmosphere of intimidation, deserted the streets of the capital, launched a coup against the independence of this nation, and then plundered the wealth of this country for twenty-five years; But these days, and for seven months, our countrymen have decorated the squares and streets across the country with their responsible and enthusiastic presence, in order to warm the hearts of the soldiers of Islam and terrify the enemy. As more than thirty million Iranians announced their sacrifices, and when there was a need to organize some kind of organization based on the renewed announcement of their presence, the number of required attendance exceeded five hundred thousand people in just the first hundred minutes. Today, throughout Islamic Iran, which is adorned with the presence of Iranians from various ethnic groups, various preparations are announced, especially armed preparations, to create a place that will bring glory to themselves and shame to their enemy. There were days when the bravery of the people of this land was known for its men; But we are now in days where women outperform men in some areas of courage. There were days when the enemy constantly tried to weaken the regime's social base, but these days, different segments of society are pressing, with clear differences, to maintain their legitimate positions, including the preservation of the blessed Strait of Hormuz. This analogy between the past and the present can be expanded and explained, but in short, I, the dear servant of the Iranian people, declare that those past days to which our enemy wishes to return are over and will never return. And of course, I must remind you with pain and sadness that in these days, the great Khomeini and the great Khamenei, the martyrs of the Almighty God, are in this place. On this occasion, it is very appropriate to commemorate the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the heroic Arab leader and the great symbol of the resistance front, the great martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, may God be pleased with him. A man who had all the love for his nation and his school, and whose sincere, sweet speeches and courageous actions strengthened the hearts of his people, and even the hearts of the peoples of the free world. A man who raised the name of Lebanon, this small country that for many years was a bastion of some powers, to the highest ranks. A man for whom victory and conquest were his constant companions, and there is no doubt that, throughout the history of the Levant and up to this day, after the prophets and their successors, no man of his greatness has appeared in that ancient land. And of course, his honorable banner is now in the hands of Sheikh Naeem Qassem, may God protect him, who continues his march courageously at the forefront of the powerful ranks of Hezbollah, which reminds us of the day of Ashura. These days that Lebanon is going through, in the face of history and in the present reality, are special and glorious days for them and for all the resistors, and humiliating and ultimately humiliating days for those who pinned their hopes, in the face of the Zionist enemy, on false promises from their persecutors and protectors. Those who, unlike the martyred resistance leader, Mr. Hashim Safi Al-Din, and today's resistance fighters, who will shine like bright stars in the expanse of time and be guides to lost travelers, will soon be buried and forgotten on the front pages of history, and whenever they are mentioned in the future, they will be a reminder of evil, recklessness, and perhaps even treason. In conclusion, I hope that God will grant us a speedy recovery and will sacrifice our lives, thanks to the continued divine blessings and special prayers of our Lord, and that the Iranian people and all friends of the resistance will face nothing but victory, conquest and glory, and their enemies will face nothing but defeat and humiliation. By God’s grace and mercy.”
