US President Donald Trump posted a photo of the Strait of Hormuz, bearing the name "Trump Strait", shortly after an Iranian proposal to open the waterway within a week, if the United States complies with conditions included in its new plan. What is noteworthy is that Trump's new map of the Gulf shows the "Trump Strait" and the coasts of the countries of the region without Qatar and Bahrain. The new plan presented by Iran stipulated stopping the war on all fronts, lifting the naval blockade on Iranian ports, and releasing some Iranian assets frozen abroad, in exchange for Tehran’s commitment to opening Hormuz. However, American officials hinted at the possibility of Trump rejecting this plan and resuming the war after the midterm elections. However, the Iranian authorities are still awaiting the official American response. Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed during an interview with CBS that his country will adhere to everything it pledged if the American side agrees to the seven-day offer.
