Representative Fadlallah explained that we did not withhold confidence from the government, because we do not want to give it an illusory victory, because we know that this government now exists through the force of regional and international pressure that refuses to change it, amend it, or overthrow it, neither by the resignation of its ministers, nor by withholding confidence from it in the parliament. It has a number of representatives who were asked by name to attend and vote in favor of confidence, but the performance of this government is faltering, and if it left the unions, social organizations, and employees now, they would all go down to the ground. The street is protesting against the living and economic situation, but pressure is being put on them  not to take action in the face of this government’s failure and performance. He said: Our remaining in the government is due to national and political necessities related to partnership, and as a result of the understanding we and the Amal Movement have made, we will not resign from this government now, but this does not mean that its policy is successful, or that its political weight is being advanced or delayed. It is in a stage of wasting time, and in a stage of conducting business more than it is in a position of running the country, and others are leaving it to cast all blame on it, including its support for negotiations with the Zionist entity. In response to the attacks on the resistance and its environment, Representative Fadlallah said: Lebanon today is in dire need of honesty and loyalty, a word that unites and does not divide, and a national language far from incitement and deception, which has become lost to many who have denied the most basic values of loyalty and belonging to one homeland, so they sold those values at the lowest prices, and made the attack on the pain of our people and the blood of our martyrs a means of begging at the gates of embassies, in order to obtain deep satisfaction.
