US President Donald Trump stressed the need for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to stop targeting diesel refineries in Russia, calling on him to choose "other targets, not diesel fuel, because it is causing a shortage" of the material, adding that the shortage "is not happening because of the (conflict) in the Middle East, but because of what is happening between Russia and Ukraine." In the same context, Trump affirmed that he expects the war with Iran to end this year, and perhaps after the midterm congressional elections scheduled for November, which, according to him, will lead to a drop in oil and gasoline prices. Trump told reporters during the Irish Open golf tournament: "The war with Iran will end right after the election - or maybe before it - but it will end right after it. And the price of gasoline will drop sharply." He added: "I'll tell you this: Iran desperately wants to reach a deal. They are calling constantly. They want to reach a deal. They have to reach a proper deal. I will not make an improper deal."
