The Media Office of the Ministry of Energy and Water issued the following statement: “In reference to the decision issued today by the Ministries of Interior, Municipalities, Public Works, Transport, Energy, and Water regarding a unified framework for regulating the installation of solar panels with a production capacity of less than 1.5 megawatts, and to clarify the confusion around some points, we would like to point out the following: This decision, which work began to be prepared before the formation of the Electricity Sector Regulatory Authority, will be implemented in accordance with Article 1 “until the procedures and standards in this regard are issued by the Electricity Sector Regulatory Authority in implementation of Article 26 of the Electricity Sector Law 462/2002.” Therefore, this decision becomes invalid with the issuance of the mechanism that the “Commission” is currently working on. - Obtaining a statement of responsibility issued by engineers and a statement of easement and planning, which was previously required and was not introduced by this decision, so there are no additional costs incurred by citizens. - The rest of the technical or administrative procedures can be clarified from the Ministries of Interior and Works, and they are outside the scope of the Ministry of Energy.”
