Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani expected that Damascus would soon resume negotiations with Israel regarding a security agreement, expressing his hope that it would lead to its withdrawal from Syrian territory.
Al-Shaibani stressed that Damascus's priority is to stop Israeli attacks, noting the need to take steps to build confidence in this direction.
He hoped that these negotiations would return in the near future to complete this path, pointing out that they were frozen "after the Iranian-Israeli war."
Al-Shaibani expressed his lack of confidence in Israel, noting that communications were cut off after the air strike that targeted the base.
