Within the framework of the continuous work carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat various crimes, especially those related to trafficking in persons and acts of prostitution, information was available to the Office of Combating Trafficking in Persons and Protection of Morals in the Judicial Police Unit about the activity of an “Escort” network operating in the field of prostitution in the city of Beirut, specifically in the Sodeco area. As a result of investigations and investigations, it was found that this network is based in one of the hotels in the aforementioned locality. As a result, the office’s patrols were able to arrest 9 girls red-handed, and they are: 6 of Brazilian nationality, 2 of Uzbek nationality, and one of Moldovan nationality. They were also found in possession of sums of money resulting from prostitution. Upon investigation, the nine detainees confessed to practicing prostitution and working within an organized network run by two people from outside Lebanese territory, known by the nicknames “Yulia” and “Max.” The hotel owner and two of its employees were also arrested after it was proven that they were aware of the prostitution activities that were taking place inside the hotel. The legal requirements were taken against the detainees, based on the reference of the competent judiciary.
