US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel announced that an ISIS plan to carry out a terrorist attack in New York City had been thwarted. Patel explained that the FBI arrested Jessica Bowie, after investigations revealed her planning to target the Capitol building in Albany and kill members of the New York State Senate during their meeting. He added that investigations revealed that elements linked to the organization were seeking to carry out the attack and target sites in the city, stressing that the authorities thwarted the plan before those involved were able to achieve their goals.
