The Army Commander, General Rudolf Heikal, received in his office - Yarzeh, the Chairman of the American Task Force On Lebanon (ATFL), former American Ambassador Edward Gabriel, accompanied by members of the organization’s Board of Directors, and the latest developments in Lebanon and the region were presented. During the meeting, an in-depth and frank dialogue took place about the army’s missions and the complexities it faces at the current stage. Ambassador Gabriel appreciated the "sacrifices of the military," noting "the importance of the army's role in maintaining security and stability in the country." On the other hand, General Heikal stressed, “The army will continue to carry out all tasks related to the framework agreement within the available capabilities, while the Israeli forces continue their attacks and violations of the existing understandings within the agreement.”
