President Joseph Aoun received Canadian Minister of State for International Development Randeep Sarai at Baabda Palace. During the meeting, Aoun stressed that Lebanon welcomes Canadian support to help the southerners return to their villages and secure their housing, especially in the villages and towns that were destroyed by the Israelis. Aoun stressed that reconstruction will be undertaken by the Lebanese state after the withdrawal of Israeli forces and the deployment of the army to the international border.  In conclusion, the Canadian Minister stressed his country's keenness to stabilize Lebanon, enhance economic cooperation between the two countries, and activate joint programs.
