Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf confirmed the continuation of direct communication with Hezbollah members on the front lines in Lebanon, noting its involvement in Lebanese affairs since 1985. Qalibaf said during his meeting with Iranian intellectuals that he was a close friend of a number of Hezbollah leaders and prominent members, adding: “I know every single one of these young people. Until this moment, I am in direct contact with the young people on the front line there.” In the context of his talk about negotiations with the United States, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament indicated that the “Resistance Front” was included in the first clause of the official memorandum of understanding with Washington, with the aim of “demonstrating Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.” He continued: "In those fifteen items sent by US President Donald Trump, he mentioned: missiles, resistance, nuclear, and the strait! He had said: You must accept these four files and put them aside! But Trump signed to recognize the resistance front and its legitimacy."
