Yesterday evening, Thursday evening, ADNOC announced that two of its ships were attacked while crossing the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that the incident did not result in any casualties. In a statement, ADNOC called on the public to obtain information from official sources only. In this context, the UAE condemned the attack, stressing that it constitutes a flagrant violation of Security Council Resolution No. 2817. It stressed in a statement that targeting commercial shipping and using the Strait of Hormuz as a tool for pressure or economic blackmail are, in its words, acts of piracy by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. For its part, the Kingdom of Bahrain denounced the attack, stressing that it constitutes a flagrant violation of the rules of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and Security Council resolutions. Bahrain expressed its solidarity with the UAE, stressing that it will support it in all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability and vital interests.
