The Information and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defense issued the following statement: Civil Defense teams, in coordination with units of the Lebanese Army that were responsible for ensuring protection around the site, carried out a rescue operation for a woman in her fifties who was detained under the rubble of a two-story residential building in the town of Arnoun Al-Shaqif, after she had been detained for about 24 hours. The officers were able to pull her out from under the rubble, where she was taken to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment. The General Directorate of Civil Defense confirms the continued readiness of its members to intervene in various circumstances, and to work to save citizens and maintain their safety.
