US President Donald Trump expressed his hope to avoid a major blow to Iran, noting that the United States is holding “very good” talks with Iran.
He said in an interview with Fox News, “Iran wants to reach an agreement, even though it does not want to acknowledge that the talks are taking place,” stressing that Washington “will see what happens and has plenty of time to reach an agreement.”
Trump warned that the situation would be “very bad” for Iran if an agreement was not reached, pointing out that it would suffer a severe blow if it backed away from the negotiating path.
He said the United States was preparing to launch “the largest attack on Iran since World War II,” before Tehran requested talks.
