In a statement, on the occasion of the 81st Lebanese Army Day, UNIFIL affirmed its “commitment to supporting efforts aimed at strengthening the presence of the Lebanese Army and extending state authority in southern Lebanon.” She added: "Our decades-long partnership contributes to supporting our common goal of achieving sustainable security and stability in southern Lebanon, and we continue our commitment to supporting both parties in implementing Resolution 1701 and the Tripartite Framework Agreement."
