After the Israeli bombings yesterday... Berri: We must not remain silent
Fady Mahouly
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nabih Berri, commented on the bombings carried out by the Israeli occupation forces, in the vicinity of Beaufort Castle and the towns of Arnoun, Kafr Benit, Yahmar Beaufort, and Hadada, and before that, various occupied southern Lebanese villages, towns, and cities. He said: “The aftershocks of the terrorist bombings, which were caused by 700 tons of explosives, reached 3.8 degrees on the scales of seismic observatories, and were felt by the Lebanese people of the south and the mountains. All the way to the outskirts of the capital, Beirut, they are repercussions. If they do not awaken national and humanitarian awareness regarding what the Israeli destruction machine is committing against humanity, heritage, culture, and architecture, then humanity and its future are in danger.”
President Berri concluded: “What happened is condemnable, and we must not remain silent about it or surrender to its facts.”
