A source in the Hamas movement announced that the national committee formed by the “Peace Council” to administer the Gaza Strip is the one that will be responsible for keeping or storing the movement’s weapons, according to an agreement reached with Israel. The source indicated that the International Verification Commission “is responsible for monitoring the arms inventory process and verifying its implementation with the support of the International Stabilization Force.” He stressed that "the National Committee is the only body that maintains, stores, or controls weapons in Gaza" and that "after completing items seven to ten of the road map."
