Aoun from Ankara: There is no peace without a state... and continued Turkish support for the army

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun at the presidential palace in Ankara, where they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Erdogan stressed that Turkish support for the Lebanese Armed Forces will continue without interruption, stressing his country's readiness to provide all forms of support for the reconstruction of southern Lebanon after the Israeli aggression.
For his part, Aoun indicated that he sensed that Erdogan had a sincere vision for advancing Lebanese-Turkish relations, considering that this visit constitutes a new beginning aimed at joint cooperation.
The Lebanese President stressed that internal peace can only be achieved through an effective state, stressing the determination to restore Lebanon's sovereignty.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Aoun thanked Türkiye for its continued support for the Lebanese Army and its participation in the UNIFIL forces, counting on the continuation of this support in the next stage.
