Al-Sadi: To pay the dues...or else
Fady Mahouly
Minister of Energy and Water, Joe Al-Saddi, said that the rise in oil prices due to the war led to a decline in the ability of the Electricité du Liban to purchase fuel, which was reflected in the electrical supply.
He indicated that he asked the state and its institutions to pay $50 million a month in dues to the institution, in addition to compensating it for the cost of the exemptions granted, especially in the south, to get through the coming months.
He warned that if this mechanism is not implemented starting next week, he will reconsider how to act and take what he deems appropriate.
