The political assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, member of the Parliamentary Development and Liberation Bloc, Representative Ali Hassan Khalil, responded to the words of the head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, about what happened in the legislative session yesterday and the day before yesterday and the withdrawal of his representatives from it. He said: “It seems that Dr. Samir Geagea has decided again to stand in front of the mirror so that others can see it.” He continued: "You talk about a 'scandal' that in fact was in the performance of your representatives who decided to withdraw and disrupt the quorum at the moment when they should have remained in the hall and discussed and voted, not left, and then you return to assuming the role of public prosecutor over what happened." Representative Khalil added: It is unfortunate that Geagea still insists on adopting the same method. Discourse is one thing, and practice is another. He supports a law in front of the media and then participates in dropping the session that discusses it. He raises the banner of institutions and then resorts to disrupting them. Representative Khalil continued: “The scandal is that you are still living in the illusion of being able to create the situation and the event, which is what your representatives pay for in their credibility before their colleagues and before public opinion.” Representative Khalil concluded: Have mercy on Lebanon and the Lebanese, do not repeat betting and mistakes, and may God have mercy on someone who knows his limit.
