The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following: “One of the companies undertaking the work of paving potholes and maintaining the international highway extending from Byblos to Chekka, on the western and eastern lanes, will be carried out according to the following: On 04-07-2026: From 8:00 until 14:00, maintenance and asphalt work will begin on the western lane of the highway, from the Balamand Junction to the Kafr Abida locality, which will lead to a partial interruption of the aforementioned lane. On 07-05-2026: From 8:00 until 14:00, maintenance and asphalt work will begin on the eastern lane of the highway, from the Kafr Abida locality to the Balamand Junction, which will lead to a partial interruption of the aforementioned lane. Therefore, citizens are requested to take note and adhere to the directives and instructions of members of the Internal Security Forces, and the directional traffic signs, to facilitate traffic.”
