The Ministry of Public Works and Transport announced the implementation of maintenance, pothole remediation and asphalt works on the coastal road extending from Jbeil to Chekka, on both lanes, starting on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, for a period of six days. The Ministry indicated that the work includes rehabilitating, paving and asphalting the section extending from the Chekka Tunnel to the Al-Masilha Bridge, under the supervision of the Higher Relief Commission. The Ministry called on citizens and vehicle drivers to adhere to the directives and instructions of members of the Internal Security Forces and the traffic signals placed at the works site, and to express the utmost cooperation during the implementation period, in a way that contributes to completing the work within the specified deadlines and ensuring public safety and the smooth flow of traffic.
