Yesterday, Lebanon's Ambassador to Washington, Nada Hamada Moawad, held talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mick Needham, where US officials reaffirmed Washington's support for President Joseph Aoun, the Lebanese government, and state institutions, stressing the United States' continued commitment to Lebanon's sovereignty and stability. The talks dealt with President Aoun's upcoming visit to the White House, which is scheduled for next July. Secretary Rubio is scheduled to make a call with President Aoun today as part of continued high-level communication between Beirut and Washington.
